Who Are We?
The Engineering Academy of the Czech Republic (EACR) is a selective non/profit organisation of indivial members. It was founded on February 7, 1995.
The principal aim of EACR is to foster technical sciences, to build bridges between the spheres of research and development and the sphere of implementation, to contribute to an increase of the competitiveness of Czech economy and to participate in guaranteeing technical education. The activities of EACR are executed through an 11-member Council, a 3-member Nominating Committee, a 5-member Controlling Committee and 7 professional sections.
Projects and technical expert reports for the state administration and for industrial purposes are prepared across the entire professional spectrum of the Academy members. EACR participates in the organisation of numerous conferences and seminars both at home and abroad.
In 1999 EACR became a full member of the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences - CAETS. It also became a member of the European Council of Applied Sciences and Engineering - Euro-CASE. EACR plays an active role in both international organisations. In current year the President of EACR was also President of CAETS.
In 2001 the EACR incorporates the Czech Knowledge Transfer Office, a specialised section EACR, the aim of which is the creation of methods and tools for rapid and effective application oh the newest results of research and development in industrial practice.
