EA CR has been in its activities concentrating on the project and issues in the field of:

EA CR section on the Scientific Policy and Management has been taking part in the preparation of the Foresight project on the National Research and development program which is to determine priorities of R&D and innovation policy for the period of 2008 in the Czech Republic.

EA CR is running the Czech Knowledge Transfer Office (CKTO) providing services in the implementation of outcomes of Scientific and Applied Research.

CKTO recently organized Knowledge Management Team (KM-Team) an association providing support to professionals dealing with the protection and support of the commercialization of intellectual property in research institutions. KM-Team organizes regular seminars for research organization and researcher educating them in the maters concerning technology transfer and commercialization.

EA CR has become a member of the Engineering Education Platform organized by Euro-CASE.

EA CR is organizing within the frame the 17th International Congress of Chemical and Process Engineering CHISA 2006 a seminar on Engineering Education. The Goal of the seminar is to investigate approaches to the problems of Engineering Education in different countries.

EA CR Annual Prize was awarded to the team of the EXCON Company for the unique design of the steel construction of the roof of the largest multifunctional arena in Prague.

EA CR took part in the Promotion of the European IST Prize. EA CR carried out a survey of progressive products with the high content of information technologies and identification of the Czech product which could compete on the European level. One of the identified products S4P System got among 20 finalists. This product enables computer control with eyes and helps to handicapped to use the computer.

EA CR established a new Award for the best publication in the Journal Engineering Mechanics, which is published by EA CR.

On the request of the Prague municipality EA CR prepared an expert assessment of the feasibility of the project ”Light Metro” a new underground line of a different conception, which is to be realized in Prague.

17th International Congress of Chemical and Process Engineering CHISA 2006 which is to take place on 27-31 August 2006 in Prague.

Conference on Advanced Engineering Design in Prague organized jointly with the University of Glasgow. A best PhD student work presented on the Conference received an award which was sponsored by the University of Glasgow, Engineering Academy of the Czech Republic and Royal Academy of Engineering.
